  1. Introduction

Welcome to [Insert Coworking Space Name]! Our goal is to provide a collaborative, safe, and inclusive environment for all our members, guests, and staff. This Code of Conduct outlines our community standards and expectations to ensure our coworking space remains a productive and respectful place for everyone.

  1. Scope

This CoC applies to all members, guests, staff, sponsors, and anyone participating in the coworking space, including all events, meetings, and social media channels associated with [Insert Coworking Space Name].

  1. Expected Conduct

We expect all community members to:

  • Show Respect: Treat everyone with respect, kindness, and empathy.

  • Foster Inclusivity: Create an environment that welcomes diverse perspectives and backgrounds.

  • Maintain Professionalism: Keep the coworking space conducive to work and professional growth.

  • Respect Privacy: Honor the privacy and personal boundaries of others.

  • Collaborate: Engage in positive networking, collaboration, and mutual assistance.

  1. Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are unacceptable within our community:

Harassment & Discrimination

Harassment in any form and on any basis is prohibited at [Insert Coworking Space Name]. Harassment is any behavior directed at another person with the effect of offending, humiliating or intimidating them. Discrimination is the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people. All staff and users of [Insert Coworking Space Name] must comply with the Harassment, Discrimination, and Retaliation Policy

Sexual Misconduct

Sexual misconduct is unwanted behavior of a sexual nature whether verbal or physical, whether a one-off incident or an ongoing pattern of behavior.

Disruption

Deliberately disrupting events and the work environment of the coworking space, or engaging in conduct that detracts from the inclusive and safe environment of [Insert Coworking Space Name].

Vandalism

Damaging or stealing property of the coworking space or its members.

  1. Regarding Usage of Coworking Space by Minors

Our coworking space is primarily designed for adult professionals. Any minors present in the coworking space must be accompanied by an adult member. Specific policies regarding minors' presence and participation in events will be communicated in Supplemental Guidelines for Minors.

  1. Reporting & Enforcement

[Insert Coworking Space Name] staff will enforce this Code of Conduct at all times. All users of the workspace, guests, visitors, and or other [Insert Coworking Space Name]] staff asked to stop engaging in any conduct are expected to comply immediately. 

The consequences for the offenders for violating the Code of Conduct may include one or a combination of the following:

  • A warning from the [Insert Coworking Space Name] staff;

  • Expulsion from the coworking space without a refund;

  • Banning from all use of [Insert Coworking Space Name] and all events organized by its staff;

  • Escalation of the complaint to any investigative or disciplinary authority with jurisdiction over the offender;

  • In severe cases, involvement of law enforcement.


Participants who feel they have been the victim of or witness prohibited behavior at [Insert Coworking Space Name] may report the incident to the designated personnel in Section 8 of this policy. Participants should never knowingly make false or misleading claims about prohibited conduct. [Insert Coworking Space Name] staff are expected to take appropriate action in accordance with applicable policies, regulations and rules. 


All reports of prohibited conduct will remain confidential to the greatest extent possible. [Insert Coworking Space Name] staff will take all necessary steps to investigate and address reported concerns in a manner that respects the privacy of all parties involved.
