The organization’s leadership team should prevent sexual misconduct by building a culture of respect and trust as well as implement mechanisms of acting on harassment:

  • preventive measures,

  • complaint procedures and reporting procedures,

  • whistleblowing protection,

  • investigation and adjudication, and

  • disciplinary measures.

This is a guide for implementing said mechanisms.

The policy packages were designed to comply with the policy standards (1), (2), (3), and (4) required by Open Philanthropy's Global Catastrophic Risks Capacity Building program from its grantees as described in this document as of February 2024. (They were not designed to comply with standards (5) pertaining to safeguarding minors.) However, if these standards apply to your organization, it remains your responsibility to ensure and verify compliance.

A diligent and good-faith effort has been made by the team in designing the policy package and accompanying implementation guide, aimed at assisting organizations in achieving compliance with relevant regulations. Considerable time and resources have been invested in the research, crafting, and review of these materials to ensure they are informative and practical. However, it must be acknowledged that complete compliance indefinitely is not guaranteed, as regulations are subject to change and interpretations may vary.

Organizations may use this policy implementation guide to help prepare in creating their policies, however, Anti Entropy recommends adapting the provided policy templates to each specific situation and consult with legal or regulatory experts specific to their context to ensure full compliance.

How to use this document package
