Manifund

Who this is for:

Project Leads on SparkWell projects that receive a grant from Manifund.

Why this documentation matters

Manifund grants are typically project-restricted and must be classified and reported accurately. A notification email alone from Manifund does not meet this requirement. Sending complete documentation promptly protects your project and keeps Anti Entropy's fiscal sponsorship compliant.

What is Manifund

Manifund (legally Manifold for Charity) is a registered 501(c)(3) grant platform that channels donor and regrantor funds to charitable projects, including SparkWell projects. When Manifund notifies you of a grant, Manifund itself is the legal sender of the funds, not the individual donor named in the notification.

What to send Anti Entropy

As soon as you receive a Manifund grant, send your SparkWell Program Manager the following:

  1. Grant agreement. Download this from your project's page on manifund.org.
  2. Transaction statement. Using your Manifund dashboard, export your project's transaction history: please only send us documentation for payments sent to Anti Entropy.
  3. Notification email. Forward the original grant notification email from info@manifund.org to your SparkWell Program Manager.
Hold off on spending:

Do not spend Manifund funds until your SparkWell Program Manager confirms the income is documented and booked. Missing documentation can delay future grant disbursements.
